Dub Trio will be giving a rare New York performance on Tuesday May 25 th at Santo's Party House. The one-of-a-kind Brooklyn band, whose unique blend of bone-shredding metal and futuristic dub rhythms, released their most resent record "Another Sound is Dying" on Ipecac Records in 2008. The record features guest vocals by Mike Patton, as well as Dub Trio's signature instrumental exploration of new frontiers in genre bending brilliance. Dub Trio previously released albums on the classic punk/reggae label "ROIR" and is currently touring the world with Hasidic Reggae star Matisyahu as both his backing band and sometimes support group. Over the past year Dub Trio has performed with Matisyahu at the 2010 Winter Olympics, on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, The Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Playing between tour dates with Matisyahu and studio sessions (the band is currently working on their new album) Dub Trio is bringing their live show back to New York City for one night only. |

Brooklyn's own Dub Trio will perform at the NEW Knitting Factory (361 Metropolitan Ave.) on September 26th (10pm) following a headlining European tour and summer trek across the U.S. with Matisyahu and Les Claypool (the Trio doubles as backing band for Matisyahu).

Greetings Massive!
We’ve been touring hard this year so we thought it was time to hit you with an update from the road. First off, great to see you all support the shows we’ve been playing stateside, touring with Dillinger Escape Plan, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Flogging Molly. We just wrapped up Spain and the UK over here in Europe, and we’re looking forward to the rest of our dates in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia and France this month.
Afterwards, we’ll be flying straight to Florida to link up with Matisyahu as part of his touring band throughout most of the summer. We’ll be opening on many of the dates, so if you hit the right shows you’ll get a double dose of us. Les Claypool and K’naan will also be along on parts of the tour, so it’s shaping up to be an epic summer - check the tour schedule for details.
